Shawn rushed over to the unconscious figure, pressing his middle and index figure up against the now brumal flesh, a peripheral pulse could be felt but barely, his pupils were dilated and unresponsive, blood seeping from the insertion on his head, but there were no lacerations anywhere else on the body, had this young male really been subject to the serial killer. Shawn knew that the hospital was to far away on foot but his apartment, only a block or so from where he now stood, maybe it would be best if he took him there and called a physician in the morning.
Anthony came to with a start, his small, now hypothermic form shaking violently from cold, head pounding as if something had hit him… hard, as he tried to open his eyes but to no avail the world around was just a blur, mass colour clouded his vision still hazy from sleep. There was something there however and that Anthony could be certain, watching his every move; domineer unknown. The fuzziness seemed to drift away as quickly as it came and realization set in. This so called figure eyeing him closely was nothing more then Shawn Brady, his father’s cousin but he looked much younger then the last time they had met, uh-oh the memories of previous days flooded back, dad, the alcohol, the time machine… It worked! It had actually worked he was in the past!
“Hey, are you alright? I found you passed out near Salem Place…”
Shawn’s altruistic voice infiltrated Anthony’s train of thought,
“My name’s Shawn Brady by the way.”
What could he do, would it be right to disclose who he really was, how badly, could this screw up the future but then again the future was all ready screwed over. Anthony sighed there’s no turning back now.
“My name’s Anthony…Anthony Brady”
Shawn just looked at him with udder dismay proclaiming his features,
“Look I know your not going to believe this but…”
Anthony paused, how exactly was he going to exemplify what had happened, it wasn’t exactly everyday that you travel back in time, but telling another you have the adroitness to actually manipulate inter dimensional peregrination was bound to get him committed for sure. And the introspection Shawn was giving him wasn’t helping much, at all.
“Well you see…umm, I’m…well… Rex’s son and uh in the future he invented a time machine…shortly after my mom passed away…Dad hasn’t been the same since and uh so I… came back to try and preclude this contingency from ever taking place.”
Anthony sighed afraid to even hypothesise what had to be running through Shawn’s mind right now, his blank expression refitted to almost snicker
“Yeah ok, I think that head injury has really gotten to you, hasn’t it buddy? Look how bout I drive ‘ya to the hospital so we can get you checked out?”
“… no, that’s quite all right, I think I’ll be fine, thanks for your abetment. But honestly I really don’t give a damn if you believe me or not, just hear me out I want to stop the killer just as much as you do for your mom and my aunt will be only an insufficient immolation of what’s to come.”
Shawn just stared at the young male in front of him unsure what to do, if what Anthony was saying really was true then this meant a chance to bring that cold blooded scum down. Though the antagonizing look on his face told all, Shawn could now see the resemblance to the thought to be ‘alien’ that he and Belle rescued last summer, amazing; Rex had actually found away of traveling though time, then again he is a genius. From the look of it; so was his…son. The same short hair cut and some what impulsive attitude he must have inherited from his dad
Anthony remained quiet through all this not exactly sure what Shawn was pondering about, for he was still in disbelief himself, is it really possible to change the past subconsciously he knew the answer was no but that was the cold and versatile logic part of Anthony, then again if he had based anything on theory non of this would be possible so it was worth a shot, for his dad at least, if there was any chance of changing what had happened then Anthony would take any and all endeavours.
the next chapter will be up early next week
